If you’re not putting your secret sauce everywhere, you’re definitely leaving cash on the table.

(Yes, I know that sounds kinda gross.)

The list of collateral that should have your branding is, like, reeeeally long 😬

You’ve got email headers and business cards and Facebook ads and on and on…

But you can shake the nervous sweating for a second, because I’m here to give you a no BS starting point. Here are three areas to focus on when you are just getting started branding your business.

#1 – Your website

OH FORK!

I started with a big one, huh? But it’s important.

If you have a website (or plan to have one in the future) you’d better make sure it represents your brand to a T.

Your website is your home territory, boo. It’s what the world will see, and you don’t want it out there putting your name to shame because it isn’t up to date with your growing brand.

#2 – Your logo

This is one of those basics, but you’re probably going to use your logo a lot more than you think. Most of your other marketing materials will include your logo, so you need a good one.

#3 – Your social media

Whether it’s Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or WHATEVER, having a consistent message (and ideally look and feel) across your content is a MUST.

(You know I’m the captain of consistency! 🚢)

Your social media feed should be oozing with your secret sauce!

Anybody who comes across your account should know right away what you do and who you serve, and that’s totally achievable with consistent, quality content that represents your brand well.

So don’t get overwhelmed with the laundry list of branding to-do’s. Start with these and leave all the other fluff behind.
